These images are the results of my fantasies, creations, and thoughts about life. They are meant to make you smile, make you think, or make you curious.
For quite some time, I have been interested in the results of changing a personís exterior. Tattoos, henna, scarification, and type of dress alter a personís exterior, but also affect how they feel within and ultimately how they fit into society. This fascination is the basis for my art. On the surface I experiment with different elements including light, paint, and imagery to observe and participate in the sensations of my subjects.
Currently, I produce my work byusing a variety of techniques including project light onto models, maniquens, and other objects. The images cast various elements, which catch my interest. It can be an event happening on the street or an everyday object that transforms when combined with the human form.
While blending the body with the background, I seek to create a unique environment for my subjects as well as a puzzle for viewers. With these practices I hope to mystify the viewer while testing or perception of reality.
